Elías V. Beauchamp‑Rodríguez is an Instructor and former Chair of the Electronics Department at the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón. With a background in Digital Signal Processing, his current work centers on artificial intelligence and machine learning, with an emphasis on data fusion and feature engineering for hyperspectral imagery.

His projects include developing a makerspace and prototype fabrication laboratory, building cloud‑computing infrastructure for IT courses and students, and expanding AI applications across diverse academic fields. As he leads the department’s transition from traditional electronics to an AI‑driven, software‑defined curriculum, Beauchamp‑Rodríguez focuses on deeply integrating advanced research with applied learning environments.
